Wowee! Can you believe that 2018 is here?!
What a wonderful feeling – a new year, AND a new month starting on a Monday!
I’m seeing so many people that have given resolutions the flick this year, and rather embracing that there will always be challenges, and identifying that they’re going to overcome them. 🙂
Aside of all of the issues that are [unfortunately] inevitable, one of the challenges that I do always tend to look forward to, are style and self care challenges. I am regularly
stalking seeking inspiration online.
I don’t know if it’s the girlie side to me coming out, or the simple fact that I, like many others, use clothing as a way of altering my mindset. << That has become more obvious since having children, I admit (I felt a fair bit frumpy with Max, and gained almost half my body weight).
In April 2015 I invested in myself, and completed a styling course – now I dress in what works for me, my body shape and in turn, my lifestyle.
It really got me thinking though.
If I look forward to challenges, just to be able to get dressed, or remind myself to give myself a little bit of attention (because you can’t pour from an empty cup.. xx ), how many of us also require that same gentle reminder that each day?
We always benefit from inspiration – look around you, at everything you do each day, chances are that you’ve been inspired by some one, or some thing that has crossed your path (the way you handle a situation, the way you decorate your home, the way you clothe your body).
I’ve created a challenge, and I would love nothing more than to have you join me.
Initially you will see the same, or similar, outfits on a different physique, that has a different lifestyle – and yes, you can make it work for you too (you may just need to tweak it a little to make it work for you.. but isn’t that what being individual is all about?).
Why #mywayherway? Because I have met some incredible people that are such fabulous style icons, or delicious self care advocates, and what better way than showing them off than sharing what they’ve got, and how it works for me in my life and style.
I would love to see how you take inspiration from the community around you.
Please use the hashtag #mywayherway, and not only will you come across some fancy, pretty, simple, comfortable styles, but you’ll also see how others look after themselves in order to build their confidence.
I can’t wait to see your ways, and I may even steal some of them! 😛
